The legal basis of data privacy is to be found in the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Teleservices Act (TMG).
Access Data / Server Log Files
The provider (or his webspace provider, respectively) gathers data whenever the services are accessed (so-called server log files). Such access data is:
Name of the website viewed, file, date and time of visit, transferred amount of data, report on successful access, type and version of the browser, the user's operating system, the referrer URL (the website you visited before), IP address and the enquiring provider.
The provider only uses these log files for statistical analyses to provide, secure and optimize the services. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log files later on if, in case of specific clues, there are reasonable grounds of illegal use.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information to identify a person, i.e. information that may be traced back to a person. This includes the name, the e-mail address or phone number, but also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or what websites you have visited, count as being part of personal data.
Personal data is gathered, used and passed on by the provider only if this is legally permitted or if the user agrees to this data collection.
When contacting the provider (e.g. through the contact form or by e-mail) the user's information is stored for processing of the enquiry as well as for the event of further questions.

No other data will be gathered. This data is only used to send the newsletter and is not provided to any third party.
When subscribing to the newsletter we store your IP address and the date of your subscription. This stored data is only used to make prove in case a third party misused your e-mail address and subscribed to the newsletter without beneficiary's knowledge.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Contents
It may happen that within this online service third-party contents such as e.g. YouTube videos, Google maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be integrated. This always assumes that the providers of such contents ("Third-party provider" in the following) notice the user's IP address. Without this IP address they cannot send the content to the respective user's browser, however. Therefore the IP address is required to show the respective contents. We do our best to only make use of such contents for which the respective provider only uses the IP address to supply the contents. Nevertheless, we do not have any influence in case a third party stores the IP address for e.g. statistical purposes. In so far as this is known to us we will inform the user accordingly.
Cookies are small files that enable storage of specific device-related information on the user's access device (PC, smartphone or similar). They make the websites user-friendly and thus serve the user (e.g. saving of log data). And they also serve to record statistical data about website usage to be analysed and to improve the service. The users may influence utilisation of cookies as most browsers provide an option to either completely prevent or limit storage of cookies. We would nevertheless like to point out that utilisation and operational convenience may be limited without cookies.
Revocation, Alterations, Corrections and Updates
The user shall have the right to obtain information, upon request and free of charge, about the personal data stored about him. In addition, the user shall have the right for corrections of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of personal data, provided that no statutory period of retention contradicts this.
